Apple Cider Margarita Recipe
Apple Cider Margarita
Equipment
- Equipment Needed:
- Cocktail shaker
- Measuring jigger
- Glasses (Margarita or any other glass)
- Zester or grater (optional for garnish)
Ingredients
- Ingredients
- 4 oz apple cider fresh is best!
- 2 oz tequila preferably blanco
- 1 oz triple sec or any orange liqueur
- 1 oz fresh lime juice about 1 lime
- 1 oz agave syrup optional, adjust based on sweetness preference
- Cinnamon and sugar for rimming optional
- Lime wedges or apple slices for garnish
Instructions
- Method
- Prepare the Glasses
- If you want a cinnamon-sugar rim, mix equal parts cinnamon and sugar on a small plate. Moisten the rim of your glasses with a lime wedge, then dip the rim into the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat it well. Set aside.
- Combine Ingredients
- In a cocktail shaker, add the apple cider, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and agave syrup. If you like it less sweet, you can skip the agave syrup or adjust it to your taste.
- Shake It Up
- Fill the shaker with ice, cover it, and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well mixed and chilled.
- Strain and Serve
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses filled with ice.
- Garnish
- Add a lime wedge or a slice of apple on the rim of the glass for garnish. Enjoy!
- Variations
- Spicy Apple Cider Margarita: Add a slice of jalapeño to the shaker for a spicy kick.
- Cranberry Apple Cider Margarita: Mix in 2 oz of cranberry juice for a tart flavor.
- Frozen Apple Cider Margarita: Blend all ingredients with ice instead of shaking for a slushy version.
