- Instructions
- Prepare Your Ingredients:
- Start by juicing your blood oranges. You’ll need about one large blood orange for this recipe. Fresh juice makes all the difference!
- Mix the Base:
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, blood orange juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup. If you prefer a less sweet drink, feel free to adjust the amount of syrup.
- Add Ice:
- Fill the shaker with ice, then cover and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. This will chill your drink and mix the flavors beautifully.
- Strain and Serve:
- Using a strainer, pour the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice.
- Top with Club Soda:
- Fill the rest of the glass with club soda for that refreshing fizz. Stir gently to combine.
- Garnish:
- Add a slice of blood orange and a sprig of mint on top for a pop of color and extra freshness.
- Enjoy!
- Take a sip and enjoy the refreshing taste of your Blood Orange Gin Fizz!
- Variations
- Herbal Twist: Add a few basil leaves to the shaker for a unique flavor.
- Berry Fizz: Replace some of the blood orange juice with muddled berries (like raspberries or strawberries) for a fruity variation.
- Sparkling Wine: Use sparkling wine or prosecco instead of club soda for a more festive cocktail.
