Cucumber and Honey Martini Recipe

#Cucumber and Honey Martini
Equipment
- Equipment Needed:
- Cocktail shaker
- Muddler or spoon
- Strainer
- Jigger (or measuring cup)
- Martini glasses
Ingredients
- Ingredients
- For the Martini:
- 4 oz vodka use a high-quality brand for best flavor
- 1 oz fresh cucumber juice about half a medium cucumber
- 1 oz honey syrup mix equal parts honey and hot water
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice about half a lime
- Cucumber slices for garnish
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish, optional
Instructions
- Method
- Make the Honey Syrup:
- In a small bowl, mix equal parts of honey and hot water (e.g., 1/4 cup each). Stir until the honey is dissolved and set aside to cool.
- Juice the Cucumber:
- Peel and chop the cucumber into chunks. Use a juicer or blender to extract the juice. If using a blender, blend until smooth and strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the pulp.
- Prepare the Cocktail:
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, cucumber juice, honey syrup, and fresh lime juice. Add a handful of ice cubes to the shaker.
- Shake it Up:
- Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. This helps mix the ingredients thoroughly while chilling the mixture.
- Strain and Serve:
- Using a strainer, pour the mixture into two chilled martini glasses.
- Garnish:
- Garnish each martini with a cucumber slice on the rim and, if desired, a sprig of fresh mint for an aromatic touch.
- Variations
- For a Fruity Twist: Add a splash of fresh fruit juice like watermelon or pineapple to enhance the sweetness.
- Make it a Mocktail: Substitute the vodka with sparkling water or tonic water for a refreshing non-alcoholic version.
- Herbal Infusion: Add fresh herbs like basil or thyme into the shaker while mixing for an aromatic variation.
