Ginger Grapefruit Martini
Equipment
- Equipment Needed: Shaker, jigger, martini glass, and a fine strainer (optional)
Ingredients
- Ingredients
- 2 oz. vodka choose a good quality brand
- 1 oz. grapefruit juice freshly squeezed is best
- 1 oz. ginger syrup store-bought or homemade
- 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice about half a lime
- Ice for shaking
- Garnish: grapefruit slice or candied ginger optional
Instructions
- Method
- Gather Your Ingredients: Before you start mixing, make sure you have all the ingredients measured out and ready to go. This makes the process smoother.
- Fill the Shaker: Take your cocktail shaker and fill it halfway with ice. This will chill the drink quickly.
- Add the Ingredients: Pour in the vodka, grapefruit juice, ginger syrup, and fresh lime juice.
- Shake It Up: Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. You want the mixture to be well combined and chilled.
- Strain Into a Glass: Using a fine strainer (if you have one), pour the mixture into a chilled martini glass. If you don’t have a fine strainer, just use the shaker’s strainer.
- Garnish: If desired, add a slice of grapefruit or a piece of candied ginger for an extra touch of flavor and presentation.
- Serve and Enjoy: Sip and savor your delicious Ginger Grapefruit Martini!
- Variations
- Fruity Twist: Try adding a splash of elderflower liqueur for a floral note or substitute grapefruit juice with orange juice for a sweeter drink.
- Spicy Kick: Add a dash of jalapeño or a splash of spicy ginger beer for an extra kick.
- Mocktail Version: Substitute vodka with ginger beer for a refreshing non-alcoholic drink.
