- Strainer
- Muddler (optional)
- Jigger (or measuring cup)
- Martini glass

- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- ¾ oz honey syrup see below
- ½ oz ginger juice or muddled fresh ginger
- Ice cubes
- Garnish: Thin slice of fresh ginger or lemon twist
- For Honey Syrup:
- 1 part honey
- 1 part hot water
- Tip: You can adjust the amount of honey syrup to your taste. If you prefer a sweeter martini increase the amount by ¼ oz.
Instructions
- Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prepare the Honey Syrup
- In a small bowl, mix equal parts honey and hot water.
- Stir until the honey is fully dissolved.
- Let it cool down for a couple of minutes.
- Set aside.
- Make the Ginger Juice
- If you have fresh ginger, peel and grate a small piece.
- Muddle it in a shaker or crush it with a spoon to extract the juice.
- If you don’t want to use fresh ginger, you can substitute with store-bought ginger juice.
- Combine the Ingredients
- In your cocktail shaker, add ice cubes.
- Pour in 2 oz of vodka (or gin if you want to add a different flavor twist).
- Add 1 oz of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Pour in the cooled honey syrup.
- Finally, add the ginger juice (or muddled fresh ginger).
- Shake it Up
- Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds. You want the ingredients to combine well and chill the drink.
- Strain and Serve
- Using a strainer, pour the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
- Garnish with a thin slice of ginger or a lemon twist for an elegant finish.
- Variations and Substitutions
- Vodka Substitute: You can use gin for a more botanical taste, or even white rum for a tropical twist.
- Honey Substitute: For vegans, you can swap honey with agave syrup or maple syrup, which also adds a distinct flavor.
- Alcohol-Free Version: To make this a mocktail, simply replace the vodka with sparkling water or ginger ale.
- Dietary Substitutions: If you’re watching sugar intake, try using a sugar-free honey alternative or skip the honey syrup entirely for a sharper taste.
