Lychee and Ginger Martini Recipe
Lychee and Ginger Martini
Equipment
- Equipment Needed: Cocktail shaker, strainer, martini glasses, muddler (optional), jigger or measuring spoons
Ingredients
- Ingredients
- For the Cocktail:
- 4 oz lychee juice canned or fresh
- 2 oz vodka use a good quality for the best flavor
- 1 oz ginger syrup or fresh ginger, muddled
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- Ice cubes
- Lychee fruit and a slice of fresh ginger for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare Your Ingredients:
- If using fresh lychees, peel and pit them. If using canned lychees, just drain the juice.
- If you prefer a stronger ginger flavor, you can use fresh ginger. Just peel and slice a small piece to muddle.
- Mix the Cocktail:
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the lychee juice, vodka, ginger syrup (or muddled ginger), and fresh lime juice.
- Add ice cubes to the shaker. The more ice, the better; it helps chill the drink quickly.
- Shake It Up:
- Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. You want it to be well mixed and chilled.
- Strain and Serve:
- Strain the mixture into martini glasses. You can use a fine mesh strainer for a smoother texture.
- Garnish with a lychee fruit and a slice of fresh ginger on the rim of the glass.
- Enjoy!
- Sip and savor the delightful balance of sweet and spicy flavors!
- Variations
- Lychee and Ginger Fizz: Add club soda or ginger ale for a fizzy twist.
- Spicy Kick: Muddle a slice of jalapeño with the ginger for some heat.
- Vegan Option: Ensure that the ginger syrup is made from plant-based sweeteners.
