Passion Fruit Martini
Equipment
- Equipment Needed:
- Cocktail shaker
- Jigger (for measuring)
- Strainer
- Martini glass or coupe glass
- Muddler (if using fresh passion fruit)
Ingredients
- Ingredients
- For the Martini:
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz passion fruit puree fresh or canned
- 1 oz vanilla syrup or simple syrup
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- Ice cubes
- For Garnish:
- Fresh passion fruit halves
- A sprig of mint optional
Instructions
- Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prepare the Glass: Chill your martini or coupe glass by filling it with ice water. Set it aside while you prepare the cocktail.
- Mix the Ingredients:
- In your cocktail shaker, combine vodka, passion fruit puree, vanilla syrup, and fresh lime juice.
- If you're using fresh passion fruit, you can scoop out the pulp and add it directly to the shaker, or muddle it first to release more flavor.
- Shake it Up:
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes, covering the liquid.
- Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well mixed and chilled.
- Strain into Glass:
- Remove the ice from your chilled glass.
- Using a strainer, pour the cocktail mixture into the glass, ensuring that no ice bits make it through.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Garnish your Passion Fruit Martini with a half passion fruit on top and, if desired, a sprig of mint for a pop of color.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
- Variations
- Fruit Variations:
- Try substituting passion fruit with other fruits like mango, pineapple, or guava for a tropical twist.
- Non-Alcoholic Version:
- Use soda water or tonic water instead of vodka for a refreshing mocktail.
