Pineapple Rosemary Margarita
Equipment
- Equipment Needed:
- Cocktail shaker
- Jigger (or measuring cup)
- Muddler (or the back of a spoon)
- Strainer (optional)
- Glasses (2, preferably rocks or cocktail glasses)
- Ice
Ingredients
- Ingredients
- 2 oz tequila preferably blanco or silver
- 1 oz fresh lime juice about 1 lime
- 1 oz fresh pineapple juice about 1/2 pineapple
- 1 oz agave syrup adjust based on sweetness preference
- 1-2 sprigs fresh rosemary plus extra for garnish
- Ice cubes
- Salt for rimming the glass, optional
Instructions
- Method
- Prepare the Glass:
- If you like a salted rim, rub a lime wedge around the edge of your glass and dip it in salt. Set the glass aside.
- Muddle the Rosemary:
- In a cocktail shaker, place 1-2 sprigs of fresh rosemary. Use a muddler (or the back of a spoon) to gently crush the rosemary. This releases the essential oils and infuses the drink with flavor.
- Combine Ingredients:
- Add the tequila, fresh lime juice, pineapple juice, and agave syrup to the shaker with the muddled rosemary.
- Shake It Up:
- Fill the shaker with ice and secure the lid. Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill and mix the ingredients thoroughly.
- Strain and Serve:
- If desired, use a strainer to pour the mixture into the prepared glasses filled with ice. Alternatively, you can pour it directly over ice without straining.
- Garnish:
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary and a pineapple wedge or slice on the rim of the glass.
- Enjoy!
- Sip and savor your refreshing Pineapple Rosemary Margarita!
- Variations
- Spicy Kick: Add a few slices of jalapeño to the muddling step for a spicy version.
- Herbal Twist: Substitute rosemary with thyme or basil for a different herbal flavor.
- Mocktail Version: Replace tequila with soda water or sparkling water for a refreshing non-alcoholic drink.
