- 1-2 slices jalapeño adjust based on spice preference
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup adjust to taste
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- For the Margarita:
- 4 ounces tequila blanco or reposado
- 2 ounces triple sec or orange liqueur
- 2 ounces fresh lime juice
- Ice cubes
- Lime wedges and coarse salt for rimming glasses optional

- Prepare the Strawberry Puree:
- In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, jalapeño slices, honey or agave syrup, and lime juice.
- Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust the sweetness or spiciness as desired.
- If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds.
- Rim the Glasses (Optional):
- If you want to rim the glasses with salt, moisten the rim with a lime wedge and dip it into coarse salt.
- Mix the Margarita:
- In a cocktail shaker, add the strawberry puree, tequila, triple sec, and fresh lime juice.
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes, cover it, and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds.
- Serve:
- Pour the mixture into the prepared glasses, over ice if desired. Garnish with a lime wedge or a strawberry slice for a pop of color.
- Variations
- Frozen Spicy Strawberry Margarita: Blend all ingredients with ice for a frozen version.
- Non-Alcoholic Version: Substitute tequila and triple sec with sparkling water or a non-alcoholic spirit to enjoy a refreshing mocktail.
- Fruity Twist: Add other fruits like mango or pineapple for a tropical flavor.
