Aquafaba Whipped Topping

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup aquafaba liquid from a can of chickpeas
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar optional, helps with stability

Instructions
 

  • Prep the aquafaba.
  • Whip it up: You’ll start to notice the liquid becoming foamy after about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add the sugar and vanilla, whip for 5-7 minutes until you see stiff peaks forming.
  • Stabilize (optional): If you want your aquafaba whipped topping to hold up a bit longer (especially in warmer weather), add 1/4 teaspoon of cream of tartar and whip for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Serve immediately or chill.
