Method
Prepare the Glasses:
If you like a salted rim, rub a lime wedge around the edge of your glass and dip it in coarse salt or sugar. Set the glasses aside.
Muddle the Blueberries:
In a cocktail shaker, add the blueberries and muddle gently with a muddler or the back of a spoon to release their juices. This will enhance the flavor of your cocktail.
Combine the Ingredients:
Add the pomegranate juice, tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave syrup (if using) to the shaker. Fill the shaker with ice.
Shake It Up:
Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled. You want to mix the flavors thoroughly while also chilling the drink.
Strain and Serve:
Using a strainer, pour the mixture into the prepared glasses filled with fresh ice. If you prefer a smoother texture, you can strain the drink to remove any pulp or blueberry skins.
Garnish:
Top each margarita with a few fresh blueberries and a lime slice for a pop of color and extra flavor.
Enjoy:
Sip your Blueberry Pomegranate Margarita and enjoy the refreshing, fruity taste!
