Method
Prepare the Strawberries:
Rinse the fresh strawberries thoroughly under cold water. Remove the stems and slice them in half.
Blend the Ingredients:
In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, red wine, strawberry vodka, lime juice, orange juice, and sugar (if using).
Add a handful of ice cubes (about 1-2 cups, depending on how slushy you want it).
Blend Until Smooth:
Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. You can add more ice if you prefer a thicker consistency.
Mix with Soda Water:
Pour the blended mixture into a large pitcher. Gently stir in the soda water for a refreshing fizz.
Chill (Optional):
If you have time, let the sangria chill in the refrigerator for about an hour to meld the flavors.
Serve:
Pour the Frozen Strawberry Sangria into glasses. Garnish with additional strawberry slices or a sprig of mint for an extra touch.
Variations
White Sangria: Swap the red wine for a bottle of white wine (like Sauvignon Blanc) for a lighter version.
Berry Medley: Use a mix of berries such as raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries for a vibrant twist.
Non-Alcoholic Version: Replace the wine and vodka with grape juice or sparkling grape juice for a family-friendly option.
Herbal Twist: Add fresh herbs like mint or basil for an aromatic flavor.
