  • Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, and sliced ginger.
  • Heat Mixture: Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  • Infuse Ginger: Allow it to simmer for about 10 minutes. This helps extract the ginger flavor.
  • Cool and Strain: Remove from heat and let it cool. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer to remove the ginger pieces. Store any leftover syrup in the fridge for up to two weeks.
