Instructions
Prepare the Brownie Layer:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Add this to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake for about 25-30 minutes. Let it cool completely.
Make the Fondant:
Melt the marshmallows and water in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir every 30 seconds until melted.
Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough until smooth. Add food coloring if desired.
Assemble the BFC:
Roll out the fondant to about 1/4 inch thick.
Carefully place the fondant over the cooled brownie, smoothing it out with your hands.
Trim any excess fondant and decorate as desired.
