Ingredients

  • Ingredients
  • For the Rosemary Simple Syrup:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3-4 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • For the Cocktail:
  • 2 oz gin
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz rosemary simple syrup or to taste
  • Club soda
  • Ice
  • Lemon slices and rosemary sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  • Method
  • Step 1: Make the Rosemary Simple Syrup
  • Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan, combine sugar, water, and rosemary.
  • Heat: Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves.
  • Infuse: Once the syrup is clear, remove from heat and let it sit for about 5 minutes to allow the rosemary to infuse its flavor.
  • Strain: Remove the rosemary and let the syrup cool. Store any leftover syrup in the fridge for up to a month.
  • Step 2: Mix the Cocktail
  • Prepare the Shaker: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add Ingredients: Pour in the gin, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and rosemary simple syrup.
  • Shake: Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain: Using a fine mesh strainer, pour the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
  • Step 3: Top Off
  • Add Club Soda: Top off the drink with club soda for some fizz.
  • Garnish: Garnish with a slice of lemon and a sprig of rosemary for that extra touch.
  • Step 4: Enjoy!
  • Take a sip and enjoy the refreshing, herbal notes of your Rosemary Lemon Gin Fizz!
  • Variations
  • For a Non-Alcoholic Version: Substitute gin with tonic water or soda and increase the amount of rosemary simple syrup to maintain the flavor.
  • For a Different Spirit: Try using vodka or even tequila for a unique twist on this classic.
