Step 1: Prepare the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a grill pan, place it on the stovetop over medium-high heat.
Brush the grill grates with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Season the Sausages
Take your Italian sausages out of the packaging and pat them dry with a paper towel.
Season lightly with salt and pepper. If you're feeling adventurous, you can sprinkle some fresh herbs or garlic powder over them.
Step 3: Grill the Sausages
Place the sausages on the grill. If you're using a grill pan, lay them down gently to avoid splatter.
Cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally with tongs, until they are browned and cooked through. You want an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
For extra flavor, you can brush them with olive oil while grilling.
Step 4: Rest and Serve
Once the sausages are done, remove them from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, making the sausages juicy and flavorful.
Slice the sausages and serve them with your favorite sides or atop grilled bread with peppers and onions. Don’t forget to garnish with fresh herbs for a pop of color!
