  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for garnish (optional)
  • Variations

  • Flavor Add-ins: Consider adding minced garlic or crushed red pepper to your sausages for an extra kick.
  • Serving Options: Pair with grilled peppers onions, or on a hoagie roll for a delightful sandwich.

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Grill
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a grill pan, place it on the stovetop over medium-high heat.
  • Brush the grill grates with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
  • Step 2: Season the Sausages
  • Take your Italian sausages out of the packaging and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • Season lightly with salt and pepper. If you're feeling adventurous, you can sprinkle some fresh herbs or garlic powder over them.
  • Step 3: Grill the Sausages
  • Place the sausages on the grill. If you're using a grill pan, lay them down gently to avoid splatter.
  • Cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally with tongs, until they are browned and cooked through. You want an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  • For extra flavor, you can brush them with olive oil while grilling.
  • Step 4: Rest and Serve
  • Once the sausages are done, remove them from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, making the sausages juicy and flavorful.
  • Slice the sausages and serve them with your favorite sides or atop grilled bread with peppers and onions. Don’t forget to garnish with fresh herbs for a pop of color!
