  • Instructions
  • Prepare the Glass:
  • If you like a salted rim, rub a grapefruit wedge around the edge of your glass and then dip it in coarse salt. Set aside.
  • Muddle the Jalapeño:
  • In a cocktail shaker, add the jalapeño slices. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently muddle the jalapeño to release its flavor. If you prefer a milder spice, use only one slice or remove the seeds.
  • Mix the Ingredients:
  • Add the fresh grapefruit juice, lime juice, tequila, and agave syrup to the shaker. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  • Shake It Up:
  • Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain and Serve:
  • Strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with ice. If you prefer your margarita straight up, you can strain it into a chilled glass without ice.
  • Garnish:
  • Top with a grapefruit wedge and a slice of jalapeño for a pop of color.
  • Enjoy!
  • Sip and enjoy your refreshing Spicy Grapefruit Margarita!
  • Variations
  • Fruit Variations: Swap grapefruit juice for other citrus juices like blood orange or lemon for a unique twist.
  • Herbal Twist: Add a few fresh mint leaves while muddling for a refreshing herbal note.
  • Non-Alcoholic Version: Substitute the tequila with sparkling water and add a splash of extra lime juice for a refreshing mocktail.
